FAD Diets

So how do you pick the RIGHT diet for you? Most people are very confused about this very question considering there are so many diets out there. You may have heard of the paleo diet, the keto diet, the Whole30 diet, or so many more diets. These are also known as fad diets that get popular within the community for different reasons. The truth is there will always be many diets advertised, but how do you know which one is right for you?

3 Steps to Find the Best Diet for You

1. Non-Inflammatory Diet

Health, just like anything else, has to be individualized. When it comes to diet, it will also need to be individualized. However, if you want something basic that will help reduce stressors on your body then we recommend the non-inflammatory diet. This diet reduces inflammation and potential symptoms you may not even realize you are experiencing. The concept of this diet is to incorporate healthy fats and eliminate sugars, grain, conventional, and other types of food. Once you adopt this eating style, you will begin to notice drastic changes in your health.

2. Food Allergy Test

Although following a non-inflammatory diet will be beneficial, there could also be some foods you are consuming that are harming you. We offer a couple of ways to test for foods your body reacts to. Once you know the food you are allergic to, you can eliminate them and start seeing drastic changes. For example, your jewelry and clothes may fit better. Another outcome of eliminating these foods could be reducing skin problems such as psoriasis or acne. When you see a decrease in skin issues, you are seeing the results of eliminating stress on your body.

3. Dutch Stool Test

We recommend everyone take this test to find out exactly what is happening inside their body. This test not only shows where your gut health stands but also identifies any infections (ex. parasite), bacteria imbalances, and more. If you’re someone who struggles with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) you will have to follow a specific diet that helps correct this issue. The FODMAP diet or keto are great examples for someone with this issue. If you are someone who has maldigestion, meaning you’re not breaking down proteins and fats properly, you would then follow The Plant Paradox Diet. If you follow a specific diet, you should also follow non-inflammatory foods and avoid food allergies. Picking a diet that aligns with your test results is the key to improving your digestive system and overall health.
