Get The Best of Both Worlds: Eat Out With Friends And Be Healthy

One of the hardest parts about following a health plan is finding ways to eat healthy when you go out to eat. It’s obviously best to eat fresh food at home, but eating out is a big part of our culture. It’s something we enjoy doing with friends and family! However, eating out does not have to be something that sets you back in your health progress. There is a way to go out and enjoy restaurants with our loved ones while still taking care of our bodies and being healthy. It can feel overwhelming and stressful, but it doesn’t have to be! There is always grace for you; remember  that! Here are five things that Dr. Kyle does when he goes out to eat to stay healthy that you can implement on your health journey:

1. Choose a Restaurant With Better Quality Foods

Do some research in your area and find some places with quality food! If a friend suggests going somewhere such as Chick fila, kindly suggest a place that you have found that will better accommodate whatever meal plan you’re following.

2. Avoid Food Allergies

Find foods on the menu that don’t have your food allergies. Do this to the best of your ability; you can even ask the server to switch something out for you. If you can’t avoid every single allergy, have grace for yourself! Just don’t choose something that will take you 20 steps backwards.

3. Come Prepared With Supplements

You may not always be able to avoid every single food allergy when going out to eat. If this is the case, Dr. Kyle recommends bringing Digest-well along with you to take before eating your meal. This is a supplement that contains Apple Cider Vinegar and Betaine HCL which will help you digest the food better. He also recommends taking a digestive enzyme as well as either gallbladder complex, ox bile, tudca, or bile salts. These help your gallbladder produce the bile needed to break down the bad fats and oils. After your meal, take an anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory herb. Albizia and Turmeric are great choices! These will help reduce the amount of stress that the meal has on your body.

4. Avoid Dairy, Gluten, Soy and Corn

These foods will affect your digestive system for multiple days after that one meal, so these are really important to stay away from!

5. Find a Health Foods Store

When traveling, this is a very important tip. Health food stores have many options for great quality food for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
