Just because something has fewer calories, doesn’t mean it will assist in weight loss or health. Imagine if you were given two options as a snack, almonds and a Twinkie. You would actually find the almonds would be higher in calories, however, they would still be the healthier option. The health benefits along with the nutrients in almonds outweigh the harmful effects a Twinkie would cause to your body. When calories are the main goal, it can create unhealthy choices based on numbers rather than nutrients.

The Common Mistake

There is an overwhelming list of medications almost every family keeps stocked in their houses such as Aleve, Ibuprofen, Pepto-Bismol, Tylenol, Imodium, etc. This stock of medication is commonly labeled as the medicine cabinet.

The issue with a medicine cabinet being normality is when people miss the true cost of relying on these substances to fix their issues. The reality is that medications, such as the ones previously listed, merely mask the issues at hand rather than dealing with the root cause.

Biblical Health

There is a biblical truth that your body was made to heal itself. Our bodies were not improperly made. In fact, our bodies were powerfully and wonderfully made. God did not mistakenly create our bodies. Every organ, system, and cell works together to create a healthy body.
